26/05: A WEEK-END to REMEMBER
May21-23,will be a date that will be long remembered
at Toronto Motorsport Park.
After much very hard work, and a ton of "hype".
Project Track Champion made it's first appearance at a
drag strip.
It is believed that this is the first time in the history of drag racing ,that a vehicle with wheelchair accessibility has ever been seen, and used to give rides to those with special needs on the track surface of a sanctioned dragway.
From the moment the car,and staff arrived to it's departure. We where treated wonderfully.
Over the course of the week-end,almost 100 individuals with special needs, had a ride in the car.
The first male driver in drag racing history to pilot the car along with 3 individuals having special needs, and their support staff worker was "Bogus" Bob Elliott.
The first female"pro"driver to give a ride to those with special needs was,Melanie Simmons "Toyrific"
There is literally a host of people to THANK for making this event possible. To you ALL,you performed wonderfully.
To Community Living Haldimand, and Voices Unlimited.
THANK YOU!.We hope your time with YOUR race car was well
worth the time many spent waiting for a ride.
THANK YOU! to the huge number who made a donation to PTC,
Your financial gift, and kind words are deeply appreciated.
THANKS to ALL,and God bless.
